In 1880 three brothers began a tradition of fine, handmade shoemaking that five generations of the Loake family have been proud to maintain. The construction of a pair of Loake Goodyear welted shoes involves some 130 craftsman, up to 75 shoe parts & over 200 different operations. It takes on average eight weeks from start to finish to complete each pair.
Loake has made over 50 million pairs of Goodyear welted shoes since it began. They now export to more than 50 countries and have become a favourite with discerning customers worldwide.
